MW2: Frozen Crossing…

Posted in Adaptation, Movies, Short Films, Video Games on April 8, 2010 by Matt

For now, this is as close as we’ll get to seeing a live action Modern Warfare movie.  And it’s probably best, as Hollywood will end up butchering it.  The movie draws upon some similarities from the game: the snow level, and Ghost and Roach (called Dust and Spectre in the short movie, because of “security concerns”).  It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to make something as high quality and awesome as this movie.  I’m excited because they have the second chapter filmed already, they just have to go through the post-production process.  Oh, and one last thing…they made this movie for approximately $209.42.

CFCF and ZOMBIE ZOMBIE…

Posted in Animation, Movie Clips, Movies, Music, Short Films on July 27, 2009 by Matt

Check out these videos, one by two different electronic artists.  The first song/video by CFCF is called “Crystal Mines“, which is synced to a 1974 French pulp crime/mystery movie called Nuits Rouges (called Shadowman in the U.S.).

Crystal Mines

The second song/video by Zombie Zombie is called “Driving This Road Until Death“.  The video was actually created by Simon Gesrel and Xavier Ehretsmann, and they paid homage to John Carpenter’s 1982 classic sci-fi/horror movie The Thing.  The coolest part is that they made the video using  stop motion video and G.I. Joe action figures.

‘Carousel’…

I like this video…A LOT.  Created by Adam Berg, ‘Carousel‘ is a short film which promotes the new Philips Cinema 21:9 LCD Television.  And man, they a great job promoting the sh-t out of it with ‘Carousel‘ and its frozen 3D world.  Check out the video below.

P.S. – Does anyone else think a hint of the ‘Watchmen‘ opening credits played a part in the filming of this short movie?
