Dante's Inferno

**Video Game News**  Here are two trailers for the upcoming game Dante’s Inferno.  I have to say that the atmosphere in both of these games are incredibly eerie, almost like watching Francis Ford Copola’s film adaptation of Dracula.  Could this game be the next God of War?  We shall see when game play videos are released in the near future.  The game is due to be released sometime in 2010 and will be available for XBox 360, PS3, and PSP.

I completely forgot that a sequel to Bad Lieutenant (1992) was in the works, until a friend of mine was telling me how crazy and tripped out the trailer is.  The sequel, directed by Werner Herzog (Nosferatu the Vampyre), stars Nicolas Cage as a crooked, drugged up cop and his investigation in the murders of five Senegalese immigrants.  I feel that this movie is either: (a) going to be a fairly decent crime movie — or — (b) another hilariously/awesomely/bad Nicolas Cage movie.

The film is to be released December, 2009, co-starring Val Kilmer, Eva Mendes, and Xzibit.

The guy who created this song goes by the name Pogo.  He basically cuts up songs from old school movies and remixes it with beats.  This one is from Disney’s Mary Poppins.  Other movies he’s sampled from include: Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, The King and I, and Disney’s The Sword in the Stone. I’ve been following this guy for a while now, and I’m pretty pumped for whatever movie he remixes next.  You can check out the rest of his songs/videos by clicking the video below.

YES!  I’ve been waiting for the trailer to the film adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s book for a long time now.  I’m very much looking forward to seeing this movie, directed byJohn Hillcoat (The Proposition). I love that they’re keeping it real to the book and calling Viggo Mortensen and Kodi Smit-McPhees characters, respectively,  ‘The Man’ and’The Boy’.  I’m also looking forward to hearing Nick Cave’s score to the movie and how he depicts “the end of civilization”.  He has also composed the score to movies such as: The Proposition and The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford.

District 9 (Trailer(s))…

Posted in Movie Trailers, Movies, Posters on May 8, 2009 by Matt

I first heard of District 9 when I stumbled across a fictional wesbsite ( that dealt with humans and aliens living together on Earth.  I furiously searched the web to try and find out what the hell the website was.  It wasn’t until last week when the first trailer for the movie appeared all over.  After finally seing what the movie was all about it sounded like a very interesting concept, especially seeing an interrogation of a ‘Non-Human’ at the end of te trailer.  After seeing the trailer with the ‘Non-Human’s’ face unblurred and subtitles added to its dialogue, it looks like it may actully be a pretty cool movie. Directed by Neill Blomkamp and produced by Peter Jackson, the film is scheduled to be released August 14th.  Check out both versions of the trailer below.
