15 Best Fight Scenes In 9 Years…

This is my list of the 15 most awesome fight scenes that I have seen in the past 9 years.  These are fights that wowed me and led me to watch them over and over again.

Just a little warning, some of these fights include graphic violence.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) –Yu Shu Lien vs. Jen Yu

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) – The Fellowship vs. The Uruk-hai

Gangs of New York (2002) – ‘Priest’ Vallon’s Gang vs. Bill ‘The Butcher’s’ Gang

Oldboy (2003) – Oh Dae-su vs. The Hallway Guards

Ong-bak (2003) – Ting vs. Two Guys With Weird Hair and One Crazy S.O.B.

Zatôichi: The Blind Swordsman (2003) –Zatoichi vs. Many Swordsmen and a Ronin

Kill Bill Vol. 1 (2004) -The Bride vs. The Crazy 88

This is the non-black and white version of the fight that was shown in Japan.

Kung Fu Hustle (2004) –The Three Heroes vs. The Axe Gang

Shaun of the Dead (2004) – Shaun, Ed, and Liz vs. The Zombified Bar Owner

If you want to get to the fight, just skip to the [2:00] mark.

The Protector (2005) – Kham vs. Approximately 50 Guys Who Can’t Fight

I felt the need to put Tony Jaa needed to appear on the list again, because just one scene of him kicking ass is not enough.  In this scene, instead of fighting three people, he fights and disarms around 50 goons.

V For Vendetta (2005) –V vs. The Secret Police

Casino Royale (2006) – James Bond vs. Mollaka

300 (2007) – 300 Spartans vs. The ENTIRE Persian Army

No Country For Old Men (2007) –Llewelyn Moss vs. Anton Chigurh

Rambo (2008) – John Rambo and The Team of Mercs vs. The ENTIRE Burmese Army

[Warning: Extremely Graphic Violence]
