For now, this is as close as we’ll get to seeing a live action Modern Warfare movie. And it’s probably best, as Hollywood will end up butchering it. The movie draws upon some similarities from the game: the snow level, and Ghost and Roach (called Dust and Spectre in the short movie, because of “security concerns”). It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to make something as high quality and awesome as this movie. I’m excited because they have the second chapter filmed already, they just have to go through the post-production process. Oh, and one last thing…they made this movie for approximately $209.42.
Here’s a short movie by Patrick Jean about pixelated video game characters wrecking havoc upon New York City. Very well done…and hopefully we’ll be getting more short movies by this guy.

I came across this electronic artist the other day when I was looking for new music to listen to. Jason Chung (Jason = Nosaj) creates some ethereal synth/hip hop beats (check out: ‘Fog‘ and ‘Lords’). Although he’s been around for a while, he only has an EP (‘Views/Octopus‘) and a full length album (‘Drift‘) available for sale. Check out his music, it’s well worth it. In the meantime, I included two different music videos for one of his songs off the EP.
What is this and where can I watch the rest of it? IMDB has it registered on their site, but the page is practically empty. From the video, it’s a zombie film called A.D., but it’s animated. Check out the teaser below.
Here we go again. 10 minutes of pure awesomeness, DJ MAYHEM and Mouthmaster Murf (a.k.a. The Anomalies) have produced a recitation of the entire plot of Aliens in the form of a sick beat and great lyrical flow. I hope they keep on releasing videos…I hope that they’re next video involves the plot of The Thing, using Ennio Morricone’s chilling score as their hip hop beat. I guess we’ll see what happens in about 6 months.
Here’s a teaser for the upcoming Ryan Reynolds movie ‘Buried’. From the teaser, it seems that the main character, Paul Conroy, is a civilian truck driver who is captured in buried somewhere in Iraq. All that he is left with is a candle, a knife, and a cell phone (which conveniently has video capabilities). Not too much is known about the movie: a) Will it focus on just Reynolds stuck in a box for the duration of the film? b) Will it feature other characters as they race get a hold of the money? c) Will we see who the captors are? Moviegoers attending the Sundance Film Festival will be able to check out this thriller starting on the 23rd of this month. The rest of us will have to wait, hopefully, for a limited release. Check out the teaser trailer below.
Here’s a pretty cool video that someone made consisting of clips from 342 different films. Let’s all reflect on the past, present, & future of film. Enjoy!
I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I first started this blog. Since my first post was for Left 4 Dead, I thought I would dedicate this post for the sequel Left 4 Dead 2, which arrives in stores tomorrow (11/17). Following a different set of survivors (Coach – a high-school football coach, Rochelle – a news reporter, Ellis – a mechanic, and Nick – a gambling conman), the story takes place a week after the events in the first game, but this time the setting is in the South. The story’s main protagonists will make there way from Savannah, Georgia all the way to New Orleans, Louisiana, but on the way they will have to fight for their lives, battling hordes of infected. Some new additions to the game include: more realistic damage done to the infected, new infected characters (hazmat suits, infected dressed in riot gear, Chargers, and Spitters), as well as new weapons (silenced submachine gun, chrome and combat shotgun, sniper rifle, combat rifle, AK-47, grenade launcher, magnum sidearm, bile bomb, a wide variety of melee weapons, and many more). And after watching the cinematic trailer for the new game, I have to say that I’m pumped as hell and looking forward to participating in the zombie invasion. Check out the movie below, as well as posters for each of the game’s chapters. Enjoy!
